About the Project

The Lebanese Film Festival in Canada (LFFC) project aimed to create an engaging and informative online platform to showcase the festival’s rich cinematic offerings. Since its inception in 2017, the LFFC has been a vital cultural bridge, presenting Lebanese films alongside international masterpieces. Our task was to develop a comprehensive website that not only highlights the festival’s diverse programming but also fosters interaction among filmmakers, critics, and audiences. The platform features sections for event schedules, film screenings, workshops, and panel discussions, ensuring a seamless user experience. The goal was to reflect the festival’s mission of promoting Lebanese cinema and facilitating cultural exchange, making it accessible to a broader audience.

The Problem

The primary challenge was to design a user-friendly and visually appealing website that could handle the extensive content and dynamic updates associated with a film festival. The LFFC required a platform that could efficiently manage event schedules, film details, and participant information, while also providing a space for interactive elements like discussions and workshops. Additionally, the site needed to cater to a diverse audience, including filmmakers, distributors, and film enthusiasts from around the world. Ensuring that the website could handle high traffic volumes, especially during the festival period, and maintaining an intuitive navigation system were critical aspects to address.
